ANXIETY

Anxiety is a perfectly normal part of life and at certain times, you might feel some mild anxiety, for example, in a job interview or exam. However, if these feelings begin to spill out into your everyday life, it can become extremely unpleasant or frightening. You may need to seek out help to regain control over your thoughts and feelings. Symptoms of anxiety can typically affect both your thoughts and your body.

How anxiety affects your thoughts

  • Feeling restless, worried, or panicky

  • Unable to concentrate or sleep

  • Feel you are unable to switch off

  • Your mind feels like it's constantly ‘on’

  • Feel uneasy, fearful, or an impending feeling of doom

How anxiety affects you physically

  • Nervous or shaky

  • Heart palpitations or dizziness

  • Out of breath

  • Restlessness, unable to relax or unwind

  • Panic attacks

With some fairly simple brain retraining exercises, I can help you to retrain your mind not to be anxious, thereby helping you to feel calmer, happier, and more in control.
